Building on the success of our Impuls’Her program in Cameroon, which has already supported the socio-economic empowerment of hundreds of women through literacy and professional training, we are now preparing to launch the next phase of the project, focusing on indigenous women and youth in the Campo Ma’an region.
This new stage, implemented in partnership with our trusted local organization APADES, aims to combine functional literacy, financial management, and sustainable resource use to promote both community empowerment and biodiversity conservation.
The project will work with 50 Bagyeli and Bakola indigenous women and youth, helping them to develop a cooperative structure around the sustainable value chain of Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs). Participants will receive training in literacy, financial management, and entrepreneurship, alongside technical support for the collection, processing, and marketing of NTFPs. They will also take part in community agroforestry activities to help restore 10 hectares of degraded ecosystems within the Campo Ma’an landscape.
Through this integrated approach, Impuls’Her continues to empower women as leaders in both conservation and local development.
As our partnership with APADES deepens, we are excited to take this next step together, building on what we’ve achieved so far, and paving the way for even greater change across Cameroon.
