On a crisp evening early in the fall, eight men and women stepped onto the stage adorned with flags from around the world. Over the last three or more years, these young people have been attending class at NG University. They have worked tirelessly through long hours to achieve this milestone. And it was not easy.
While I do not know all 8 graduates well, I have had the privilege of becoming friends with a few. I know from first-hand conversations with them that these years in college have been challenging, sometimes taking much longer than they would have liked. But the beauty of those conversations and friendships have shown me that despite taking a bit longer to finish the degree, none of them have been discouraged from learning, whether it’s continuing school, learning through business ownership, or something else.
NG University strives to equip students to be life-long learners. And these small examples show that this mission is being accomplish. Dr. Peter Makiriyado emphasized this well in his speech; “Lifelong learning isn’t just about absorbing knowledge; it's about understanding how to sift through it, how to adapt, and how to continue evolving in an ever-changing world.”
Warmly,
