As we move through 2026, our educational community faces a significant challenge and an extraordinary opportunity: ensuring that adolescents and young people with disabilities are not left behind when they complete their primary education.
After nearly three decades of dedicated work, Nova remains committed to transforming lives through inclusive education, personal development, and the creation of meaningful opportunities. We believe that every young person deserves the chance to continue learning, develop practical skills, discover their talents, and build a future filled with independence, dignity, and purpose.
For many of our students, completing seventh grade at Nova, generally between the ages of 12 and 15, marks the end of their formal educational journey. The lack of accessible, affordable, and inclusive secondary education and vocational training programs creates significant barriers to their continued development and future employment opportunities.
In response to this reality, Nova has been advancing an innovative Youth Project designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and pre-employment preparation. This initiative seeks to provide young people with the knowledge, practical abilities, and life skills they need to prepare for adulthood, strengthen their autonomy, and participate more actively in their families and communities.
Our approach recognizes that professional preparation must begin early and be adapted to each young person's abilities, interests, and individual needs. By integrating educational support, practical training, social skills, and personal development, we aim to create pathways toward greater independence, social inclusion, and meaningful participation in community life.
Despite the growing recognition of inclusive education, opportunities for young people with disabilities to access vocational training and employment preparation remain limited. Existing programs are often insufficient, inaccessible, or financially out of reach for many families. This reality reinforces our commitment to developing alternatives that are inclusive, sustainable, and responsive to the needs of our students.
In 2026, we renew our call to individuals, organizations, and potential donors who share our vision of a more inclusive society. Your support can help us strengthen the Nova Youth Project, expand learning opportunities, develop practical training activities, and equip young people with the tools they need to pursue their aspirations.
Our goal extends beyond education. We want every young person to feel valued, capable, and included; to develop a sense of responsibility and belonging; and to have the opportunity to contribute positively to their families and society. With the right support, guidance, and opportunities, these young people can build meaningful lives and become active participants in their communities.
We invite you to join us on this journey. Your contribution is an investment in human potential, family well-being, and a future in which disability does not determine a person's opportunities or limit their dreams.
Together, we can turn barriers into opportunities and help every young person build a future with greater independence, dignity, and hope.
Thank you for believing in Nova and for helping us create a more inclusive future for our young people and their families.
With gratitude,
The Nova Educational Community
