Thank you to the generous donors to BridgIT’s well refurbishment program. During the past quarter we have built momentum to have a great year for this project. We have an essentially endless list of villages with broken water wells that need refurbishment, and with your help, we can meet the enormous demand.
Currently BridgIT can replace the hand pump, pipes, tank and head assemblies, and repair the pedestal, platform, and runoff channel for about US$1,250. This means that for less than US$1.65/beneficiary, we can gift potable water to these Dalit people (formerly referred to as “Untouchables”) who are currently living in water crisis. When you contribute to this fundraiser, you profoundly change the lives of so many people so cost-effectively. Call it ‘effective altruism’ or humanitarianism – BridgIT Brings a Big Bang for the Philanthropic Buck!
