As winter has given way to the warmth of summer, life at the Mission has shifted into a new and energetic season. Longer days and brighter weather have brought a renewed rhythm across the campus, where children are finishing one school year and stepping confidently into the next.
Over the past few weeks, our students have completed their final exams and are now preparing for a new academic year. This transition is always significant; it marks not only academic progress, but growth in confidence, independence, and hope for the future. For some, it also means taking the next step into higher education through our Mission University program.
Daily life continues to be rich with opportunity. Beyond the classroom, the children are actively engaged in hands-on learning and shared responsibilities; helping with harvests, caring for animals, maintaining the campus, and learning practical skills that will serve them for life. This season has seen abundant harvests of mulberries and garlic, alongside preparations for the wheat harvest, all of which contribute directly to the sustainability of the Mission and the wellbeing of the kids.
Moments of joy and belonging remain at the heart of everything we do. From Easter celebrations and shared meals to simple afternoons spent playing, exploring, and creating, these experiences are shaping a strong and supportive community.
Your support through GlobalGiving makes this possible. It provides not only education and daily care, but also stability, opportunity, and a place where each child can grow, thrive, and look ahead with confidence.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
