Dear Supporters,
Despite the fact that Australia is not a country of extreme poverty, there is nevertheless a rise in the number of Indigenous teenagers using the Australian justice system. As a result, it is up to us to drive change in this area.
In order to provide safe spaces and assistance for young people within the community so they do not enter the criminal system, our initiative is partnering with the University of New South Wales. Together, we are working in very special cooperation with a small number of indigenous communities.
After numerous discussions with local leaders and many of the young people in these towns, a priority list of support for these communities has been developed. The university will use its resources to help with research projects for the community that we hope will have a long-term impact on the government, local authorities, and business. They now have no space, and the heat in mainland Australia is too great, so Action Change, a nonprofit, will raise money to help the young people construct a secure meeting place that will have access to drinking water and shaded spaces.
Young leaders will assume the task of engaging others in peer-to-peer interactions and offering them other activities and education after we open this area, with the goal of reducing the number of young people who turn to crime.
Thank you so much for your support.
