In recent months, INNOBUC has continued to strengthen its role as a bridge between academia, local communities, and development organizations. One of our most significant achievements has been the establishment of a strategic partnership with ISAE University, which opens new opportunities for collaborative research and the development of projects focused on tourism and community engagement. This alliance not only creates a space for academic exploration but also serves as a platform to design innovative solutions that respond to the challenges faced by local communities.
At the same time, we have advanced our collaboration with the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), with a strong emphasis on tourism initiatives in different communities across Panama. These projects aim to empower local entrepreneurs, particularly artisans and small business owners, by providing tools, knowledge, and connections that strengthen their businesses and expand their opportunities in the tourism sector. Through this work, we are fostering inclusive economic growth that values local culture, traditions, and natural resources.
Another important component of our work in this period has been the progress made in conducting territorial diagnostics. These studies allow us to gain a deeper understanding of the realities and priorities of the communities we serve. By analyzing local needs, resources, and challenges, we can ensure that our projects are not only impactful but also relevant and sustainable in the long term. This evidence-based approach helps us design strategies that align with community aspirations while addressing social, environmental, and economic dimensions.
Together, these efforts demonstrate INNOBUC’s ongoing commitment to promoting innovation, education, and sustainable development. By bringing universities, international partners, and communities into a shared vision, we are working to build stronger local capacities, create meaningful opportunities, and generate positive change that can last beyond the life of any single project.
