We at Intercambios Puetro Rico are happy to report that we have two new teams to address the needs of 1) people who are suffering homelessness and 2) people in recovery. The first mulidiciplinary team uses the best of counseling and case management expertiese to conduct outreach and collaborate with other agencies who provide services to people enduring homelessness (or the threat to loosing the place you call home). We focus on individuals who use substaces and/or people who have mental health conditions. The second project focuses on non-judgemental recovery services via two peer coaches and a recovery specialist. This team is specially trained to support people in substance and mental health recovery and also work in outreach and collaborative endevours. Now more than ever Intercambios Puerto Rico is equipped to provide more and better services in the eastern section of our beautiful island (and soon to come in the San Juan Metropolitan area).
