Adaklu Kids Are Coding-and It's Just the Start

Because of your support, the FOA Computer and Coding Program is not just growing—it’s transforming lives.

Each week, students from four rural communities attend one of five hands-on computer and coding classes led by our incredible instructor, Kingsley. Many of these students had never used a computer before. Now, they’re confidently typing, navigating software, and building projects in Scratch and JavaScript. The joy on their faces as they discover new skills is unforgettable.

And there’s more exciting news…

We’ve launched the Learning Upgrade program at our FOA Computer Lab!

With fast internet from Starlink and a generous partnership with Learning Upgrade, 18 students in Grades 3 to 10 are accessing engaging lessons in math, English, and digital literacy—many for the first time. These interactive, game-like lessons make learning fun and help our students catch up and soar ahead.

This summer, seven of our brightest students are breaking barriers.

They’ve been participating in the Girls Who Code Summer Pathways Program—a global initiative opening doors to tech careers for young women. Now in their second week, these trailblazers are learning to build websites, explore design, and gain confidence. Just one year ago, some students hadn’t even touched a computer.

YOU made this possible.

Because of YOU, our students have:

  • Reliable internet to access online learning

  • Refurbished laptops and essential software

  • Trained, passionate teachers and mentors

  • Access to life-changing STEM opportunities

Your gift is more than a donation—it’s a key that unlocks possibility, creativity, and hope.

Thank you for believing in our students.

With deep gratitude,

Christina and the Friends of Adaklu Team
