Update: Digital Literacy Program — Building Skills for a Digital Future
Our Digital Literacy Program continues to empower students across Adaklu with the tools and confidence they need to thrive in today’s digital world.
Under the dedicated guidance of our computer teacher, Mr. Kingsley Leh, 71 students are currently enrolled in computer classes, our fourth group of learners since the program began. Each week, Kingsley teaches at five schools: Goefe Primary, Dawanu Basic, Abuadi Basic, Goefe Junior High, Kordiabe Basic, and Helekpe Basic.
Since the program’s launch, a total of 266 students have gained valuable computer skills through Friends of Adaklu, learning to type, navigate the internet, and even begin coding. These students are not only building digital confidence but also discovering new ways to connect, learn, and dream.
To support this effort, FOA currently has 10 laptops at the Good Life Center in Adaklu Waya and 13 desktop computers at the Dawanu Basic School lab. Together, these resources are helping bridge the digital divide, bringing 21st-century learning to rural classrooms and opening doors to new opportunities for every student.
Your support made this possible, thank you for helping our young learners in Adaklu take their next bold steps into the digital future.
