The journey to investing in teen moms has been a fantastic one,A big thanks to our donors. As Ellen frames it. " l wish could meet donors and thank them in person for enabling Dels Foundations mentor and give us skill training".The smile on Ellen,s face whiles saying this was really a sight to behold.
Ellen tells Dels Foundation how greatly she has benefitted from the program. "Since l went through Dels Foundations teen Invest Program.,"I can Make nice fascinators and hair accessories, my little girl is now in school. While at home I make hair accessories for sale".
Donors,we hail you, Donations disbursed to Dels Foundation through GlobalGiving is reaching the right benefiaries and it is our hope that donors keep donations coming. Dels encourages donors to share the teen Invest project with family and friends to enable them enjoy making community impacts together with us, to enable us groom more Ellen's for a sustainable future for teen moms and their children

Investing in Teen Moms

A big thank you to all our donors who believed in our project and donated their hard earned money to help invest in teen mothers during the March 2018 accelerator
We have started with the project and have so far worked with 20 teen mothers
The 20 teen mothers have been taken through counseling and given extensive education on reproductive health, They have also been given sanitary pads to help them flow clean and hygienic during menstration
They have had skill training in bead making and event decoration for four weeks
We contracted 5 mentors who took them through mentoring.Each mentor had 5 girls each and the mentoring program for the first 20 ended in May
We are still looking for avenues to reach our target of 80,which looks.very positive
The success stories from the first batch of mentorees is heartwarming,thanks to you

INVEST IN LIVES OF 100 TEENAGE MOTHERS IN GHANA

To begin with we will like to say a big thank you to all our donors who believed in our project and donated their hard earned money to help invest in teen mothers during the March 2018 accelerator
We have started with the project and have so far worked with 20 teen mothers

We are left to invest in 80 more teen mothers and we looking to raise more funding for our next 4 batches. We were expecting funding from the Paul Hodges Trust but have not been successful yet
We are also happy to all our donors for making this first phase a success.A big congratulations to you all.

About this project:

Targeting 100 teenage girls with children between the ages of 12-19 years in Ghana, this project intends to improve their lives by giving them access to comprehensive sexuality education, mentoring and vocational training. This will economically empower and equip them with knowledge and skills to take care of themselves and their children This will go a long way to prevent the emotional distress which leads them into vices such as prostitution, abused relationships and self pity.
