Project Report | Feb 22, 2024
Thank you! See the impact of your generosity

By Maria Moreno | CEO

The USA for IOM’s 2023 Impact Report is published with gratitude and appreciation to all the foundations, private sector partners and generous individual donors like you whose support enabled USA for IOM’s widespread impact in 2023.

With the support received, we were able to continue supporting the implementation of projects that impact nearly 500,000 beneficiaries, with the largest number in Ukraine, and expand awareness raising to mobilize global support for migration initiatives.

From life-saving support for conflict-affected families in Ukraine, to life-changing support for victims of trafficking in Ghana, Dominican Republic and beyond, and from enhancing national border management capacities in Moldova, to promotion of the socioeconomic inclusion of Venezuelan migrants in their new host countries through the Entrepreneurship in Movement program, programming supports vulnerable migrants in multiple contexts. In addition, through hosting awareness-raising events, including with IOM country missions of Afghanistan, Mexico, and Peru, USA for IOM has been able to reach farther.

We look forward to continuing our collaboration in 2024 to further expand our reach to migrants around the world. As IOM’s nonprofit partner in the United States, our commitment to promote humane opportunities for migrants worldwide is inspired by both the people we assist and those individuals and entities who make our work possible through their solidarity and support.

We dedicate this report in memory of Mr. James N. Purcell Jr., former Director General of IOM, and long-time supporter and former Chairman of the Board of USA for IOM. Recognized as a humanitarian legend and advocate for migrants, he is sincerely missed.

With gratitude,

Maria Moreno

CEO, USA for IOM
