Arts and Crafts at Isha Vidhya schools
There are lots of India rural children with abundant hidden talents. What they need is an opportunity to bring those talents out. Isha Vidhya is striving hard to uplift rural children and bring out the hidden talents in them.
One special aspect of Isha Vidhya’s learning methodology is to give equal importance to academics as well as extra-curricular activities like Arts and crafts. This is to encourage creativity among the children. We even follow a prescribed syllabus for each grade. Arts and crafts teachers are being given regular training by experts.
Since the students are from the low economic group, all the materials needed for the classes are provided by the trust. Our generous donors play a major role in donating materials as well as the funds required for these. It is a pleasure to see how our children are expressing their creative skills.
Arts and Crafts at the Cuddalore Isha Vidhya School
We provide you the scenario at the Cuddalore Isha Vidhya school as an example.
The student Kaviyachelvan is highly creative and his fingers doe’s magic and whatever material is given whether it is clay waste materials or anything he makes a beautiful thing. He not only follows his teachers’ instructions but uses his imagination also. He is adept at painting and drawing also.
At this juncture, a special mention is about Jeyasudha, the Arts and craft teacher of Cuddalore School. She is an asset to the school and her sincerity dedication and involvement cannot be described in words.
She is highly talented and she never misses any training workshop. Whatever she learns she just transfer it to her students she rigorously follows the syllabus but at the same, she applies her imagination and creativity also and the ultimate result is student s are the beneficiaries.
It is a pleasure to watch her class. She patiently guides the children and it is no surprise that students eagerly wait for her class. Arts craft room is filled with the creative work of the students and whoever visits the school is spellbound in seeing the children Artwork. All the credit goes to our donors without them our children would not have got this opportunity.
We are also attaching the pictures of the student.
We thank you once again for all you did for Isha Vidhya, and looking forward for your continued support!
