Atul, a London based supporter visited Tuticorin school on 15th & 17th December to take several sessions on Robotics. Rural kids have limited access to resources which aid in learning the process of creating robots. Though the idea of creating their own seemed impossible initially, Atul’s patient handling and lucid explanations, soon had students excited.
Students were divided into 8 groups and each group of 30 students underwent one and a half hour long session on Robotics. Atul explained about the importance of robots and also used the “mblock” software to make them. He asked the students to create a story in “mblock” (animation).
He had also brought a robot and showed a demo which enthused the students further.
Isha Vidhya encourages experts and technologists in various subjects to come to our school and share their knowledge with our students. If you are one, or if you know of someone who is, please send us an email to global.giving@ishavidhya.org, and we will arrange the presentation in any of the 9 schools that you are comfortable with.
We look forward to your continued engagement!
Thanks & Best Regards.
