Eyes are very important for everyone, especially for children who are curious to see and learn. It is important to keep the eyes in great condition, and for this, regular eye check-ups are necessary. Several kind-hearted organisations in India are providing eye-checkups for free.
Aravind Eye Foundation partnered with the Coimbatore volunteers to provide free eye check-up for the students of the Coimbatore school. A team of doctors screened the students of all grades for eye issues. Out of around 1150 students who underwent screening, 28 students were found to be in need of spectacles, and 8 were found to be needing further follow-up and treatment.
At Isha Vidhya, we do several health check-ups throughout the year to make sure that the students are healthy. We also keep in touch with the parents of any health issues that their children have, and provide tips, suggestions, and recommendations on addressing the issues. A healthy body leads to a healthy mind, which is important for the studies!
We thank you for your contributions to Isha Vidhya, which has helped in infrastructure as well operational expenditure. We look forward for your continued support.
