Silambam is a Indian martial art that
originates in southern India, and is an
optional part of Isha Vidhya’s sports
curriculum. It helps to improve flexibility,
agility, and hand-eye coordination.
10 Isha Vidhya students won top prizes -
gold medals and certificates at the
inter-school Silambam competition
conducted by the World Silambam
Sports Association on 31st January
at Tharuvai grounds in Tuticorin,
Tamilnadu, India. About 200 students
from 20 students participated in this
zonal level event.
It’s heartwarming to note that
Isha Vidhya practiced for the event
in spite of the Covid-19 situation,
by strictly following the Covid-19
protocol.
Sports is an important focus area
at Isha Vidhya. If you would like
to make a difference in a student's
education at Isha Vidhya, please
consider starting a monthly
recurring donation at the link
provided in the Links section.
We thank you for all that you
have done for Isha Vidhya, and
we look forward for your continued
support.
Thanks & Best Regards,
