On June 25th, 2014, Isha Vidhya participated in the Microsoft Bonus day, wherein donations upto $1000 were eligible for 100% matching till the funds of $200,000 campaign allocation remained.
We are glad to share that Isha Vidhya raised $29,541 from 165 donors in that campaign. We are deeply touched by the response from such a large number of donors, and extremely happy to have raised such a good amount in donations for Isha Vidhya's cause! We are also glad to share that Isha Vidhya ranked the 2nd position in terms of no. of donors, and the 4th position in terms of amount raised out of 498 organisations that took part in the bonus day campaign !
The campaign matching funds ran out in just 5 minutes and 29 seconds! This is the first time this has happened in GlobalGiving history, as per the email that we received from GlobalGiving. Due to this lightning pace at which the funds ran out, Isha Vidhya was able to get $1,100 (both matching and top performance bonus put together) from Microsoft and GlobalGiving.
I once again thank you for the tremendous response that you have provided which makes signficant impact on the funds required for Isha Vidhya schools infrastructure needs.
