Dear Patrons,
Isha Vidhya's quest to educate the rural India has more than one facet of building and operating its matriculation schools.
Isha Vidhya has adopted 56 rural schools in Tamilnadu, and providing them with critical interventions in the areas of teacher-student ratio augmentation, providing computer skills to the teachers, and helping the slow learners by giving special attention sessions. 34,000 students are benefited currently by this program, which is operational in the Tamilnadu state districts of Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, Kanchipuram, Villupuram and Salem.
On August 18th, Isha Vidhya laid a very important foundation in transforming the education of the south Indian state of Andhra Pradesh!
Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Chandrababu Naidu, inaugurated a pilot project on August 18, where Isha Vidhya will collaborate with the government to benefit 38368 students from 460 government schools.
Mr. Naidu was accompanied by the Collector of Chittoor District, Shri Siddharth Jain and other senior officials from the Education Department. After lighting the lamp, the CM opened the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) file and in his presence, the MoUs were exchanged between the District Collector and Isha Vidhya’s Project Director.
During the function, Mr. Naidu outlined his vision for education for Kuppam, his constituency, and the initiatives he proposed to introduce to convert Kuppam into a Centre of Learning with the best facilities for education in the country.
Under the aegis of the project, 1957 teachers will be trained in the first year and new teachers will be inducted as well.
