The importance of activity-based body-mind co-ordination
exercises cannot be stressed enough in the early brain
development of children.
This year Isha Vidhya introduced new set of activities called
“phonemic awareness activities”.
Vanavasi School held a 6-day summer camp for kindergarten
students where activities were held to develop their skills.
Various activities were developed by the teachers to help students
recognize phonetic sounds along with improving flexibility in fingers.
Several other activities were planned which helped in improving
eye-hand coordination and brain stimulation.
The camp concluded with splash pool and water wall activities.
This segment of activities clarified concepts like flowing, floating,
continuum, etc.
Students enjoyed the camp and wholeheartedly participated in all
the activities.
Such activities are part of the learning labs at the Isha Vidhya
schools. If you are interested in being part of supporting
Isha Vidhya's efforts in activity-based labs, you can do so
by donating at the link provided with this report. Monthly
recurring donations are a great way for being continuously
involved in Isha Vidhya's work.
As always, we request you to share this report with your circle
and let them know of the great work that Isha Vidhya is doing!
Thanks & Best Regards
