Tenth grade students of Erode celebrated their last function
in the school, as they completed their tenth grade exams.
Their farewell function was called “Light of Education”.
All 30 students, along with their parents, participated in the
program. The name of the function was so appropriate, as
the students move out into the world, spreading the light
of education that they received in the school.
The students were handed a lamp as a token of the light
they carry in themselves. Students shared about their
experiences at the school, while parents and teachers
shared about what they saw in students as they grew up
in midst of knowledge, love, commitment and inspiration.
Shares student Jana's father:
"It was a special day for the Isha Vidhya school’s 10th
grade students, teachers and also for the parents.
Yes, It was a warm evening time when the farewell
day function was celebrated.
As I am being one of the parents in this school, I would
like to share something about the function what I have felt.
Both the teachers and the students shared their memorable
moments in that occasion. All the teaching and non-teaching
staff were honoured.
I was honoured for teaching English classes to the 10th grade
students. I was very happy, I felt that it was a chance to
serve the Isha Vidhya students.
Myself and some parents took charge of arranging dinner for
the farewell day function. It was another chance which given
to me to serve once again.Thank you for an opportunity to
share my thoughts with you."
A great way of doing a farewell for the students, don't you think?
As the Isha Vidhya students go out and pursue their higher
education or their chosen career, they will spread light into the
world. We are sure you would agree!
