An outstation trip always brings a lot of excitement
among students. This is especially true for students
who rarely get a chance to travel.
Erode School students went on a two day trip to Tuticorin
and Kanyakumari. The trip arrangements were supported by
the school staff of the Tuticorin school. 89 students and 11
Erode school staff members travelled by train to reach
Tuticorin. After resting for a day, they went visited
Tirunelveli Science center. Then they went to Morapanadu
Thamirabarani river and later to beach of Tuticorin Muyal
Theevu.
On the next day, the group visited the Muppandal Esakki
Amman temple. The scenic beauty of Thiruparappu Falls
enamoured every one but the most looked forward attraction
was the trip to Kanyakumari. Having heard and read so much
about it, the group loved being at Kanyakumari.
The trip was also memorable thanks to the excellent travel
and stay arrangements made by Tuticorin staff members.
Students and Erode staff members could not stop raving
about their time at Tuticorin.
Priyadharshini of 11th grade shares:
"I am Priyadharshini from XI std.I am going to share few words
about our trip to Thuthukudi. It’s one of the unforgettable moment
in my life ! 90 children and 10 Teachers joined together for this trip.
For me this is the first experience to go long journey in the train
that too night time. Our Principal mam informed us to be in the
school premises by 7p.m itself. We had our dinner in our school.
Our Principal allotted 10 of us have to be along with a teacher.
So it is very easy for us to approach the teacher. I got chance to
be with my favorite teacher Sujatha miss. We had fun time, we sang
songs and we all occupied 2 coaches.
The train started here by 9p.m and we reached Thuthukudi junction
by 6a.m. I feel the salty breeze. The Thuthukudi Admin Maris anna
was waiting there to welcome us! We took nice breakfast.
First day I went to the Thuthukudi science center to see the Planetarium.
There we saw the scientific equipments and it is utilized by us in the day
to day life. It’s an experience for us! After that we went to see the
“Thamirbarani River”. A week before, I had read an article about that river.
By seeing that I recollected the information and I shared with my friends.
After that we reached the seashore we were excited and I played with
my friends. Actually it’s a full moon day! It’s amazing to see the Full moon
in the sea!! For me this is the first time I am seeing like this! Then we
returned back to Thuthukudi school! They provided delicious chappathi
with full of love and affection.
One of our classmate Manoj had celebrated his special birthday ! We
played until 11’o clock with our teachers.
Next day early morning we started our journey from Thuthukudi to
Nagarkovil. The kitchen people from that school and admin came with
us to prepare food to give us.. We went to “Thirparabhu falls” from there
we went to Kanyakumari to see the beauty of Thiruvalluvar statue and
Vivekanandhar rock. Its an excited moment for me and my friends. We
spent more than two hours and returned back to the Kaniyakumari junction.
Then the Thuthukudi admin tem people were waiting to give the “Night dinner”.
They told us to come back again to their in the next summer holidays.
We said thanks for their lovely words!
Totally it was a good experience! I am sure throughout my life I will not
forgot this good experience. Thanks a lot everybody those who arranged
a nice trip like this!... Thank you"
