Gift an education...Make a life !

The fourth annual day of Dharmapuri Isha Vidhya
school was celebrated on March 2, 2017. It was
combined with sports day celebrations.

Mr. Manikandan, circle head of HDFC Life Insurance
accepted our request to be the chief guest, and graced
the occasion with his presence.  HDFC Life Insurance
company employees also joined the occasion and 
donated school buses to the school on behalf of their
organisation.

Several aspects of the annual day/sports day i.e.
hoisting the national flag, lighting the Olympic torch,
march-past, athletic oath, etc. happened as planned.
Free hand exercise, tumbles, Indian club, and the 
school's representation of Silambam were performed.

Finals of the 100m running, relay, hurdles for boys
and girls were conducted.  Games were conducted
for parents and the teachers.  A parent won a
competition for the third consecutive year!

Shares Dharmapuri school Principal Mr. Umapathi:
"Volunteers from Dharmapuri also joined the attendees
in this joyous sports event.  One more support we had
was from the Sun God (less heat)!"

The celebration ended with singing of the Indian National
Anthem around 1 pm.

10% commission for donations made in March and April 2017

Isha Vidhya has been a very active participant in fundraising
at the Global Giving online fundraising portal.

We are excited to share with you that because of our constant
efforts of continuous feedback on several GlobalGiving product
features and services, Global Giving has selected Isha Vidhya as
one of the organisations which would be charged a lesser rate
of 10% commission for the donations made in March and April !

We would like you to keep that in mind when the next 50% matching
campaign happens in the week of April 3rd to April 10th. We will
keep you posted on the details of the campaign as we approach
the campaign dates.  Please stay tuned!
