Dear patrons,
With the funds raised through Globalgiving, the Science lab
needs of 7 isha Vidhya schools (Coimbatore, Erode, Salem,
Nagercoil, Cuddalore, Dharmapuri, Tuticorin) are fulfiled in
part as capital goods, and in part as perishable items! This
is a significant help towards the functioning of the science
labs in these schools, and goes a long way in helping the
children understand Science better!
One of the science teachers, Nilofer, in the Cuddalore
school shares:
"I taught Science for tenth grade last year and this year too.
Last year being our first, I was a little apprehensive about
my students getting good marks in Science. But fortunately,
science lab came to my rescue. Whenever the students found
it difficult to understand a concept, I took them to the lab and
made them understand the concepts through doing. I am happy
to say that it helped them a lot and it reflected in their science
marks. Out of the eight students, one got 100%, two got 99%,
and one got 98%. All this was due to their exposure to the
science lab and I am really grateful to the sponsors. This year
also I will make maximum use of lab for the present 10th
grade."
We are attaching the expenditure details, as well as the
pictures of the students using the science labs.
We are so excited that the funds raised through Globalgiving
is making an impact in the lives and education of the rural
children. This good work should continue. If you have any
suggestions, please feel free to email us at

Thank you for everything that you have done for Isha Vidhya!
