As the teachers, admin.s and the staff of the Isha Vidhya schools
worked tirelessly, even during the holidays, preparing the curriculum,
attending workshops, and preparing themselves to give the best
possible education to the students of these schools, all their thoughts
were focused on the opening day - June 7th, 2017!
There… flowed in the joyful, smiling students, with their as-usual,
never-ending curiority to learn, explore and expand. The buses
came in one by one to drop to the students. The staff received the
students with overwhelming happiness - as they had decorated the
school entrances and other areas to delight the students!
The opening ceremonies at the various schools started with the
assembly, followed by speeches by the Principals.
Santhosh of 9th grade shares: “I like coming back to School,
especially to meet my friends. This time the School looks so
different and colourful and we have new activities and paintings
on the walls. Some teachers have also joined newly. The first day
was so beautiful as the orientation was superb. After the
orientation, all the students seem to have transformed a bit.
Everyone is so joyful and speaking with each other so happily
after the first day of orientation. We love this School."
Pragya of of 9th grade shares: "After coming to 9th standard,
I feel many changes which are the rules are more strict, the walls
are more colourful. In standard 8, I was more playful and was not
sincere, but now all of a sudden I have become more responsible
and want to study well. All of us in our class want to study well
and we are very happy with our Class teacher. She cares for us
very much in a manner that encourages us to do well. This year
I and my friends plan to study hard and get good marks in tenth
standard. "
