Dear Patrons,
It is getting proved repeatedly that just enabling the rural
children of India with the right kind of nurturing, environment,
infrastructure and methodology will make them excel in their
studies as well as other extra-curricular activities!
We are so glad to share that all the students who appeared
for the 10th grade (SSLC) examinations have cleared the
exams! The average score percentage was 88%, whereas the
highest marks scored being 494 out of 500! It's worthwhile
to note that in the past 2 years also, the average score
percentage was around 88%, and highest marks being 494
and 492 out of 500!
This makes us all proud that the students have achieved it
in spite of being from an underprivileged background and
their struggles against all odds - their tough family situations,
their poverty, their background being that they are the
first-generation ration school-goers in their family, etc.
Shares Akshaya, a student who has just cleared her
10th-grade exam:
"I am Akshaya. I have completed the tenth standard in the
Villupuram Isha Vidhya. During Tenth standard I had a lot of
expectations which had been a great pressure in my mind.
My Principal and teachers moral support are the real reason
behind my success. They did not force me to study, they
believed in me and motivated me. It gave me a warm feeling
which motivates me each and every second. In the beginning
of Tenth standard, I used to study till 2 am. Then my Mother
advised me to study early morning. Apart from pressures, I
relaxed with P.E.T classes along with my friends support
helped me overcome any problem I faced. I am looking forward
to joining 11th in Isha again."
Shares Ilakiya, a student who has scored 489 out of 500 in
the 10th-grade exam:
I am M. Ilakiya, I had scored 489 in Board Examinations. I have
been studying in Isha Vidhya School since 2012. My family was
not able to give our Education and our School offered us Scholarship
for our studies which was very useful. From my childhood days, I
was interested in Sports. But I don’t get a correct opportunity to
express it, my School gave that to me. I was not aware of my own
skills, the teachers motivated me. Even when I had Exams I took
part in Sports. I have achieved something in my life with the support
of my Parents, Teachers and will not forget their dedication towards
me. I am very happy with my marks. My School gave that to me.
