Sports is a great activity to develop many skills
and hone the talents. If young children play and
practice, they gain physical strength, mental
toughness, dexterity, team spirit and many admirable
qualities! Sports is an integral part of Isha Vidhya
education, and students from all schools participate
in competitions too, and many times they win prizes!
On 25th of June, Silambam competition was conducted
at Adiyamaankottai in Dharmapuri district. 20 students
from the Dharmapuri school participated in the competition
under weight category and 14 of them won prizes!
We are excited to share with you the pictures, list of winners,
and sharing from a student.
Keerthana, a student of Isha Vidhya Dharmapuri shares:
"Today girls too compete and win prizes in Silambam!
I have been training Silambam for the past two years.
Before a competition, we train hard for a month or for
a few weeks. This time, there were 100 participants in
the competition. My family feels proud that I am training
in this martial arts form. I would like to be a top Silambam
practitioner soon!"
If you would like to support the schools sports infrastructure,
we encourage you that you start a monthly recurring donation
for a small amount, which would make a big difference in these
childrens lives! The link to start a recurring donation is:

We thank you for all you did for Isha Vidhya, and we look forward
for your continued engagement!
Thanks & Best Regards,
