Dharmapuri School’s Science teacher Vijayarajkumar
conducted an activity on "Save Nature".
He shares: “I spoke to students about taking care of plants
as they are important for all living things and protecting
cultivated plants from weed for the growth of plants. I motivated
them to take care of plants in all areas, especially those which
are near to their house/ street/ school. I observed that the
students are taking a lot of interest in caring for plants in their
gardening period. A group of students decided to take care of
some plants and they fixed the tasks for each of them. For each
day of the week they divided work amongst themselves including
watering of the plant, clearing the weed around the plant, adding
manure etc. They had written their names on a piece of paper and
stuck it near the plants. I was delighted with this methodical
division of tasks and their love of nature. It wouldn’t be fair if I
didn’t take the name of Mr. Yogarajan who guides students during
the gardening period.”
