We are excited to introduce to you the two new addition to Grow Ghana team. Marlon and Anna are our second cohort of weltwearts volunteers from Germany, who will be spending a year with Grow Ghana.
They took a gap year after high school to give back to the community and gain some real life experiences before getting to the University. They joined us last month and will be supporting the organisation to run the day-to-day activities such as providing training for students, fundraising campaigns, improve teaching curriculum, online marketing, office work etc.
Let’s get to know them and their expectations for the next 11 months.
“My name is Marlon and I am currently 18 years old. I am from Germany from a village located near Stuttgart in the south of Germany. I graduated from high school in 2022 and I really like playing football in my leisure time. Generally speaking, on the one hand, I expect to learn a lot of things during my stay about the country, the culture, the people and the work at Grow Ghana. On the other hand, I wish to be able to give something back to the people and especially to Grow Ghana. My aim is to be able to change something for the better.”
“I am Anna from the north of Germany. I am 18 years old and I just finished high school. In my free time I love to cook, to play games and to go dancing! I hope that I will find ways to support Grow Ghana. For now that means observing the work and then participate with new ideas how we can develop as an organisation to have a bigger and especially greater impact.”
Enjoy your stay in Ghana!
Thank you for your support.
