Report: Distribution of Dry Ration in Rasu Udayar Thottam, Puducherry – Penjal Cyclone Relief
In the wake of the devastating Penjal Cyclone, Prime Educational and Social Trust launched an emergency relief initiative to support the affected communities in Puducherry. One of the most impacted areas was Rasu Udayar Thottam, where families faced severe hardships, including the loss of basic necessities.
To address immediate needs, we organized a dry ration distribution drive to ensure that families had access to essential food supplies during this challenging time. The relief materials included rice, lentils, cooking oil, sugar, salt, and other non-perishable food items necessary for sustenance.
Key Highlights:
Number of Beneficiaries: The drive reached over 100 families, providing them with enough food supplies to sustain them for at least a week.
Community Engagement: Local volunteers, along with our team members, worked tirelessly to identify the most vulnerable families and ensure equitable distribution.
Impact: The timely support alleviated immediate hunger concerns and offered a sense of hope and solidarity to the cyclone-affected families.
Voices from the Ground:
“We lost most of our belongings in the cyclone, and this support came as a lifeline for our family,” said a beneficiary from Rasu Udayar Thottam.
“The distribution was well-organized, and we felt cared for during this difficult time,” shared another recipient.
A Heartfelt Thanks
This relief effort would not have been possible without the generous contributions from our supporters and the dedication of our volunteers. Together, we made a difference when it mattered the most.
