Introduction
Waste is continuously piling up in Juba City, daily. The nature of individual and institutional disposal is absurd and risks public health. Juba is a city drowning in waste! Millions of people rely on imports, creating mountains of plastic, cans, and more. SSGID designed this project to add value to the piling up Juba waste into valuable products, creating a cleaner, healthier city. We sought and still commit to making Juba a safer, cleaner, and healthier city. And will create thousands of jobs in this project.
Achievement in the period 16th May to 15th August 2024
Over this period, SSGID has achieved the following:
ChallengesThe major challenge is changing the attitudes of individuals in communities to understand the dangers of bad waste disposal. SSGID is further constrained by a lack of funding to fully implement this project.
