For a year and a half, I, with 200 kids, have tried to confirm if I kick with the left or my right foot. It turns out, I just can´t play soccer.
Fundación Junto con los Niños (JUCONI) has worked in more than five different neighborhoods in Guayaquil as a supplementary activity for the kids involved in the therapeutic process that JUCONI currently provides to more than 60 families. The goal of JUCONI Futból Club is to teach valuable skills such as teamwork while using Ecuador´s favorite sport as the tool that inspires them.
With each neighborhood commanding half of a day, it is impossible to visit more than once a week. It´s very sad each time we drive away because JUCONI needs to take out the equipment we use for each activity and bring it back to our office. It may not seem like a lot, but to many of those that JUCONI works with an actual soccer ball is a luxury that few can afford.
With your generous donations, JUCONI has worked to purchase soccer balls for a group of kids so they can routinely practice when we are unavailable. Each child was selected with the stipulation that they are required to share with those around them. We are so happy that we can continue the JUCONI Futból Club on a weekly basis but that we can take a break from running in the hot sun. Your support makes JUCONI stronger and best suited to serve the communities in Guayaquil that need the support most. We could not be more grateful for your support.
Sincerely,
Joseph Amiri
