Mercy Homes - Our Mission of Love and Care

By Prawina Sompong | Public Relations Manager

Dear Friends and Supporters,

From the heart of Bangkok’s slum communities, our three Mercy Homes continue to be safe and loving sanctuaries for 83 orphaned and abandoned children, aged 6 to 21 years.
Every day, these homes provide not only shelter but also nourishment, education, emotional care, and hope — the foundation every child deserves.

Thanks to your kindness and generosity, our children continue to grow in a nurturing environment where they are valued and supported.
However, as we move forward, we face ongoing challenges that require your help.

Our Current Situation

Caring for 83 children requires constant attention and resources. The total annual operating cost for our three Mercy Homes remains at THB 13,262,982 (USD $391,646) — covering food, medicine, housemother salaries, clothing, education, and maintenance.

At this moment, we still need to raise the remaining USD $391,646 to continue providing the same standard of care and stability throughout the year.

Each baht you contribute directly supports:

  • Housemother salaries — ensuring the children have loving and consistent caregivers
  • Nutritious meals and daily essentials — because no child should go hungry
  • Medicine and healthcare — keeping every child healthy and safe
  • Education costs — school fees, uniforms, and learning materials
  • Building repairs and utilities — maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment
  • Essential equipment and furniture — such as beds, washing machines, and computers

Why Your Help Still Matters

Behind every number is a story — a child who has found family, comfort, and hope through your support.
Without continued funding, our ability to meet daily needs and plan long-term improvements becomes increasingly difficult.

Your contribution today will help us:

  • Keep our homes running smoothly and safely
  • Continue providing the essentials of education and healthcare
  • Strengthen our programs that build confidence, independence, and life skills
  • Ensure that every child continues to grow up surrounded by love and opportunity

Together, We Can Keep Hope Alive

The Mercy Homes are more than buildings — they are families built on compassion.
With your continued support, we can ensure that every child we care for continues to grow in love, dignity, and hope for the future.

We sincerely thank everyone who has stood beside us through the years.
If you are able, please consider helping us reach our goal so that no child in our Mercy Homes ever goes without care.

Together, we can keep their light shining.

With gratitude,
The Mercy Centre Team
