This month, we are excited to share our news with you after a busy few weeks.
Your donation is helping to support students who at risk of dropping out of education. As we get ready to open the doors of our new study centre, it is thanks to you that our efforts to remove barriers to education are increasingly effective.
During the Summer school term, we piloted a new initiative called ‘Shining Stars’ aimed at rewarding and recognising the many achievements of primary school children.
From this pilot, we have identified how celebrating success at this young age helps to instill confidence in all areas of school life. Over the coming months, we will develop the programme and focus on how we can keep young learners firmly on their path to education.
In addition, our study centre will have a profoundly positive impact on older students in the region. The centre is now fully equipped and will soon be ready to receive students for the new school term following a meeting with the Ministry of Education. The centre will benefit pupils studying for their Baccalaureate exams and a range of books from the curriculum will be available for those students who need them most.
We are so close to achieving our fundraising goal for the project and we couldn’t have got this far without you.
