THE WORK WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED IN 2018
Thanks again to you for your involvement! PARTI Program has been able to support and impact 6 schools with activities to help build inclusive campuses. We also referred youth to employment opportunities and introduced critical thinking skills to improve their ability to be successful and productive individuals. This year we plan to reach more schools, work with more students and administrations, and support more families. Everyone knows that “It Takes a Village", and we could not have had such a positive influence without your support. There are many ways you can still get involved. We are grateful for every financial contribution – large or small. Please visit our website for volunteer and partnership opportunities. Upcoming is our annual ExPosure fundraiser to help support our yearlong efforts and make a greater impact in communities and schools that need our attention.
In 2018, there has been a significant increase in school shootings. On March 21st, kids, families, and communities rallied in the National School Walkout to demand that their lives and safety become a priority and that we stamp out gun violence where our children attend school. PARTI program is a youth-focused organization that inspires youth and school administrators to create a safe and supportive environment. PARTI believes that young people are our greatest asset and we will be there to support our youth throughout California that needs help in addressing bullying and violence in their school and communities.
We all have a responsibility to confront Bullying and Cyberbullying and reduce violence in society. This year, with the support of College interns from COLLEGE CAMPUSES IN CALIFORNIA and other college campuses ACROSS THE COUNTRY, PARTI will provide youth and school administrators with training in Restorative Practices. As part of our High Impact Program, we support teachers to engage children on how to respond to harmful deeds, build community, and address bullying behaviors with the support of caring school staff and community agencies. Across America, 160,000 students skip school every day for fear of being bullied. It doesn’t have to be this way. Our youth also create bullying prevention toolkits, which they provide to their schools.
