Dear Friends,
We are so incredibly grateful to have you supporting us in keeping our center's doors open.
As you may know, Women's Resource Center is not only a non profit organisation running programs to benefit women and entire families in Siem Reap - it is also a place, and the only one of its kind, to which women and girls come to seeking safe, confidential and non judgemental support for their most pressing issues.
In the last three months in our center, our team provided counselling to 24 clients. Many of the clients have experienced domestic violence.
8 of these cases were referred to legal services with our partner organizations, 4 cases were referred to free healthcare, one case was provided with access to vocational training, 6 cases were provided with food support and 2 cases are being provided with mental health care and support.
Through our Positive Parenting program, our center also welcomed men through our Men’s Coffee Talk activity, which involved 12 fathers to talk about gender-based violence and how to prevent women and girls from experiencing violence.
Though we carry out many more activities as part of other programs in which we empower women through financial literacy, fight violence against women and girls, help families thrive with sustainable home gardening, among many others, our center is the headquarter in which our incredible, hardworking team report to and work a lot from when planning activities.
Though many of our programs are funded by foundation donors, our center itself is not. This is why your individual help is so crucial to us and has made so much of our work possible.
Thank you so, so much!
With much gratitude,
WRC
