Dear Donors,
Thank you for your interest in the Kick Drugs Out: Basketball for 500 Youth At-Risk project. At this time, no donations have been received, so the basketball sessions and mentorship activities have not yet started.
In several communities across Abuja, many young people face pressure from drug use, crime, and unsafe environments. With limited access to safe spaces or positive engagement, some turn to harmful habits as a way to cope with daily challenges.
Without guidance or structured activities, these youth are left with few options for growth or personal development. This can affect their education, choices, and future direction.
This project is designed to engage 500 youth through regular basketball sessions combined with mentorship and life skills training. The program will provide a safe space where young people can stay active, learn discipline, and receive guidance from coaches and counselors.
Through sports and support, participants can build confidence, stay in school, and make better decisions. It also helps reduce exposure to negative influences and encourages a healthier lifestyle.
We appreciate your time in learning about this effort and remain hopeful that support will come so this program can begin and reach the youth who need it most.
Sincerely,
Joy Ojochogwu Etubi
