KIDS Support Groups in Brazil

The KIDS Support Groups in Brazil continue to support children through preventive education, creative activities, and safe spaces for learning. Their work helps young people better understand everyday challenges, strengthen their confidence, and develop healthy ways of dealing with difficult situations.

In Indaial, Santa Catarina, second-grade students from different municipal schools took part in a storytelling activity that introduced important topics in a simple, engaging, and age-appropriate way. After the sessions, the children received seven educational comic-style magazines designed to encourage reflection and discussion.

The materials address different behaviors and challenges that children may encounter while growing up, including shyness, excessive screen time, electronic cigarettes, and other issues related to health and well-being. Through relatable stories and illustrations, children are encouraged to recognize risks, understand emotions, and think about healthier choices.

This kind of preventive work is especially valuable because it reaches children early and in a format they can easily understand. Stories can open conversations about topics that might otherwise be difficult to discuss, while helping children feel more confident in expressing their thoughts and asking questions.

The activity is carried out in partnership with the Children’s Fund of Indaial and contributes to promoting healthy development and greater awareness among children. By combining education, creativity, and prevention, the KIDS Support Groups continue to give children practical tools for making informed and healthy decisions.
