KIDS Support Groups in Brazil

In the Cruz Azul Kids Support Groups, the child can relearn how to have joy while playing, talking, interacting with other children and whilst interacting with safe adults. In these groups the children can regain hope that they lost because of the problem of addiction or dependency in their family. It is a safe place where they can drop all survival methods that they have learned to maintain in the family where addiction steals their childhood. In these groups they are free to be children again.
Support Cruz Azul Kids are weekly meetings in drug-free spaces, socio-interactive, entertainment, monitoring, support and prevention, grounded in the vision of whole human being, principles and Christian values. They are open for children from all backgrounds and contexts. To carry out this service, it is necessary to have volunteers and staff who are well trained to run the inspirational and empowering sessions.

At the moment the Blue Cross Brazil experiences financial challenges due to the slow  economical situation in Brazil  and it is a challenge to keep these groups running despite the great need in the community.
