From July 2023 to February 2024, the program has been successfully executed, benefiting a total of 2,378 families through the delivery of a total of 105,219 kilos of food, which translates into: 4,783 healthy food pantries (fruits, vegetables, basic grains and others) and 233,820 food rations; providing access and availability of food to 5,033 children and adults in situations of Food and Nutritional Insecurity in 5 vulnerable communities of the Central District (La Berlin, José Trinidad Cabañas, Las Brisas del Mogote, El Amatillo and Altos de la Laguna), 1 community of Cortés (La Pradera), 3 communities of Santa Bárbara (Ilama, El Dorado and Pinalejo) and 1 community of Choluteca (Guapinol).
All the beneficiary families are very happy for the help received, as they now have access to variable and nutritious food.Children can eat food that their family cannot afford to buy.
Through the donations we receive, we will continue to support more food insecure families.
