GlobalGiving RECEADIT Kitchu Community Water Project
Fifth Report of May 10th, 2017
On behalf of our RECEADIT Humanitarian Team, I take this opportunity to thank you so very much for your generosity and willingness to join us and to partnership with us in our journey of serving humanity through the Guidance, the Blessings, the Love and the Grace of God Almighty.
We are glad to provide you with the following progress report and updates for our “Kitchu Community Water Project” thanks to your generosity:
1) The drilling of the well which started on Wednesday, February 15th, 2017, as scheduled, has been completed successfully (see Second photo t)in the attached Version of this Report);
2) The four builders we selected for the construction of the supporting pillars of the storage tank have completed the construction of: a) the walls within the well; and b) the supporting pillars of the water storage tank. The technicians are now waiting for the cement used to build the supporting pillars to become sufficiently dry and solid so that: a) the storage tank can be lifted and placed on top of the pillars; and b) the water storage tank can be connected to the well (See First photo in the attached Version of this Report below);
3) The Community-based water management technicians have successfully completed the supervision of the six workers we employed for the digging of the trenches and laying of the plastic pipes from the well location to the identified Four Water Supply Points within the Community; and
4) One major challenge we have encountered is going be the ongoing electricity charges for pumping water to the Four Water Supply Points within the Community. The Community Water Management Committee will study the matter and come up with suggested solutions.
We will continue to provide you with monthly reports and updates of our other projects, activities, accomplishments and challenges.
We hope that you will continue with us on this our journey of serving humanity through the Guidance, the Blessings, the Love and the Grace of God Almighty, a journey which had taken us to this Kitchu Community Water Project through our new link:
