GlobalGiving RECEADIT Kitchu Community Water Project
Sixth Report of August 7th, 2017
On behalf of our RECEADIT Humanitarian Team, I take this opportunity to thank you so very much for your generosity and willingness to join us and to partnership with us in our journey of serving humanity through the Guidance, the Blessings, the Love and the Grace of God Almighty.
We are glad to provide you with the following progress report and updates for our “Kitchu Community Water Project” thanks to your generosity:
1) Two Water Tanks have been purchased, transported to Water Project Site, lifted and placed on top of the supporting pillars on Wednesday, June 12, 2017 (see first photo below);
2) The technicians have connected the water storage tanks to the plastic water pipes from the well (See First photo below);
3) The Community-based electrician has successfully connected the water pump from the well to the electricity system and it is working properly and successfully as expected (See Second photo below);
4) The Community-based water management technicians have successfully connected the plastic pipes from the well to the identified Four Water Supply Points within the Community and Community members are now able to get clean water from the well (See Third, Fourth and Fifth photos below); and
5) As we reported in our Fifth Project Report, one major challenge we have encountered will be the ongoing electricity charges for pumping water to the Four Water Supply Points within the Community. We are hopeful the Community Water Management Committee will study the matter and come up with suggested solutions.
