Children in the red-light area of Forbesganji (Bihar, India), live in constant fear of traffickers who prey on their vulnerabilities. The "Kung Fu For Girls At-risk to Human Trafficking" project provides mentorship and karate training to these at-risk girls and boys to conquer trafficking through body empowerment skills, mentorship and linkage to Apne Aap resources. Since the start of this project we have successfully enrolled 20 girls, aged 8-14, in the karate program at Apne Aap’s Ant Kanya Center in Forbesganj, Bihar. The martial arts students attend 3 one and a half hour classes per week, instructed by Niraj K. and Neha K. We provide them food, clean uniforms, and safe spaces to express themselves.
