Centro Las Claras: New Opportunity for Teen Moms

First of all, THANK YOU for your donations and on-going support for The Las Claras Program. Your actions have been key in the success of the program.

We have started the first semester of 2023, with great news and we are very excited to share them with you.   

After more than 2 years under construction we have finally finish the Las Claras Center of Felipillo expansion where we will be able to support more teenage mothers, girls and women of the community. The inauguration was in July 2023 and all new programs are expected to start in August 2023. With the expansion we will be able to have 2 new programs that will benefit more than 150 children ages between 0-12.

In the first months of the year, we implemented our Veranito Las Claras program, focused on the prevention of adolescent pregnancy for 35 girls from the community between the ages of 7-14. As for our girls who are currently in the center, we have our 10 group which already started the second phase of the program with the beginning of the bachelor's degree and administrative assistant program and group number 11 started with 20 teenage mothers in April 2023. As of right now we have 31 teenage mothers and their children in the center, expecting to start a new group in September. 

This first semester of the year has been full with good news for us and that gives us all the motivation to continue with our programs and help more and more beneficiaries along the way, we are sure that the second semester of 2023 will be even greater.
