Happy Spring Everyone,
Humans often associate Spring time with new beginnings. At Ojala-Ninos we are grateful to continue to offer opportunities to the community of San Miguel Viejo, in the state of Guanajuato. We are persistent and we have kept the momentum going on our project to finish the Community Center building, all the while providing classes and workshops ( in our temporary facility) Monday through Friday at no cost to the children and their families.
We see the kids flourish, we know our program enables advancement and improvement academically but also betterment of the community as a whole. We have been serving the rural community for 13 years now and have a whole new generation of particpants.
We hosted our first event in our structure, on our lot, late last February. We had regional dishes that the mom's in the community shared. Indios De La Conquista, San Miguel Viejo's indigenous traditional dancers honored the visitors with their dancing. We were able to share our progress and goals still to be met with those who have supported us along the way and the people we serve.
We appreciate your continued interest, Thank You.
Sincerely
Betty Lopez
