The Tekkatho team in Mandalay have now finished configuring the MyLibrary for Atutu Learning Center. Inside each MyLibrary capsule is a teeny-tiny server, a router, a rechargeable battery and 1 terabyte hard drive packed full of educational content: the best of the web plus resources especially selected for Myanmar learners, like the new national curriculum. We adapt and re-package all the content so it will work in an offline environment, and the internal server and router mean the MyLibrary can generate its own Wi-Fi network, so people can access the educational resources even in places with no internet or phone signal.
Myanmar has been plunged into crisis by the February 1 coup against the elected government, with protests and crackdowns flaring across many parts of the country. We are still waiting for an opportunity to safely deliver the Atutu MyLibrary from Mandalay to the school, which is about 400km away in Mohnyin Township, Kachin State. As soon as we can do this, we will let you know.
We are particularly grateful for your support at this time.
