Rising prices for energy supplies (electricity and gas), food and other basic necessities have created a household emergency for 1.5 million families. food and other basic necessities has created an emergency in the homes of 1.5 million families with children in our country, who were already in a situation of vulnerability with children in our country who were already in a situation of vulnerability before this latest crisis and who have gone from making from making ends meet with difficulty to not being able to cover their basic needs.
The socio-economic crisis generated by the combination of the pandemic and the war in Ukraine is not affecting us all equally. all of us equally. Nearly 2.5 million children suffer from material deprivation and a high degree of inequality that affects all areas of their lives. all areas of their lives: food, welfare, education and health. If we do nothing about it, this crisis will mark their childhood and condition their future.
