Oh, how difficult it was... the children weren't at school due to the Covid 19 lockdown in Kenya. Parents and guardians were helplessly and constantly worrying about where the next meal was coming from - and how to keep, even the poorest roof over their family's heads. Live and Learn in Kenya International was able to help with donated funds for the parents to buy food and soap.
Sad to say, one family's father did die of Covid 19.
But the children are all back to school again and learning and playing and EATING a warm meal every day. That's something to SMILE about!
If you've ever had to go hungry - or have even fasted for any length of time - you know how wonderful it is to have a full tummy again!
We want to thank all of the wonderful and generous people who donated their time and energy and money toward feeding these needy children. An extra ASANTE SANA - THANK YOU SO MUCH to the many SL performers who gave - and are still giving concerts to help feed the children on the Live and Learn in Kenya International project. Without all of your kind donations, we would never have been able to feed the children - not in the past - the present, or the future.
