Since the release of the previous report in February 2023, no new funds have been acquired for the project through GG; however, the free molecular diagnostic service for cancer patients continues to be carried out in FJC's laboratories, benefiting a total of 785 patients during these months.
In March 2023, an agreement was signed with the Hospital Dr. Victorino Santaella Ruiz al in the city of Los Teques, Miranda state, through which the impact of the UDM on the Venezuelan population was extended, adding to date a total of 9 agreements signed with the most important public health centers in the country.
In the city of Caracas, we are the only institution that provides free molecular diagnostic services. In the private area, there are some laboratories that perform it, but the costs are very high and not very accessible for the majority of the population in the country.
From Fundación Jacinto Convit, we are diligently continuing our daily efforts to carry out this project and provide ongoing assistance to serve the most vulnerable populations visiting the main public health centers in Venezuela.
