The preventive program is located in Bombona, in cra 41 nro. 46-78. We offer preventive attention for 60 children at risk. Among the risk situations we attend, there is lack of motivation to attend school, lack of responsible guardians, exposure to street labour, consumption of alcohol and drugs, malnutrition... we have a group of trained professionals to work in a preventive way these sort of problems.
Here are our main accomplishments during the first trimester:
100% of the children improved their nutritional status thanks to the balanced nutrition we provide in the program. We conduct several checkups of height and weight in order to guarantee the promotion of health and prevention of illness.
100% of the beneficiaries attended educational and recreational activities. We offered 3 workshops regarding the sexual education and prevention of drugs and alcohol. Furthermore, we developed several focus groups with the families to discuss subjects of healthy education and habits. The entire group attended activities in the play rooms, sports and cultural projects.
We enhanced the areas of reading writing and mathematics in order to improve the academic performance of the children.
