"54 YEARS PROTECTING VULNERABLE CHILDREN/COLOMBIA"

ACTIVITIES AND RELEVANT ACTIONS        

• Linking students from universities of Social Work and Psychology to the care process, who contribute from their knowledge in a practical way the different projects and reinforce project life issues and family dynamics.

• Increased accompaniment to appointments of specialists, psychiatry, medical and dental, by families, which affects the consolidation of parental responsibility in relation to the development of children and adolescents.

• Management for attention with specialists at the Neurological Institute of Antioquia, to ensure care for children with differential diagnosis.

• With the support of the program "Preparation for Independent Life" , it has achieved linking families to continue and complete their education in elementary and high school, creating a comprehensive intervention in improving family conditions.

• The process of monitoring of quality standards by the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare, in relation to the service as a unit of care, was satisfactory, achieving the qualification of 99 % compliance.

• Institutional networks were reactivated for complementation of intervention with children and adolescents in cultural, recreational, educational and artistic aspects , which will take effect during the following months in outside activities to ensure comprehensive care process .

SOCIAL WORK

We are developing the following projects:

• Institutional Project "Let's make a deal for the good treatment".
• Institutional Project with family concerning "Superarse Family".
• Project preparation for graduation.

- Socialization networks of community and institutional support, allowing to generate in children knowledge about different routes to activate when you require a service of this kind.

- Making cooking workshop "Another Taste at Home ", by institution “La Colegiatura Colombiana”.

- Process began with the interdisciplinary team for identifying tastes and interests of children and adolescents in art, culture and sport. Action will respond to fulfilling the variable vocational training.

PSYCHOLOGY

We are implementing the following projects:

• "My life project".
• Project prevention of psychoactive substance "You decide, Decides Well " .
• Sex Education Project "Responsible Sexuality ".
• Project vocational guidance "Building Roads “.
• Individual Attention to children and adolescents.
• Attention to families.
• Motivational strategy "Points System ".

- Individual Psychological support to families and users to emotional and behavioral situation of affectation, allowing stabilize the role of attention to the process and within the family.

 -Improvements in behavioral conditions in children and adolescents. High level of participation and acceptance of the issues defined in families and users.

- The psychoeducational work and counseling continued appearing as an opportunity for families to clarify their doubts regarding specific issues, promoting the effective exercise of their role with children and adolescents.

- Participation in the " Good family life " program. This process allows the intervention qualify generating strategies support around family.

NUTRITION AND HEALTH

• Nutritional care and health management.
• Foodservice.
• Health promotion and disease prevention.

- We managed to score 100 % on the audit conducted by the Colombian Family Welfare Institute to the "Bienestarina Más" , highlighting the proper use of the product and the acceptance of the beneficiaries of the preparations where the product is included . 

- Alliance was established with the neighborhood health center belonging to Metrosalud, group care for children and adolescents in programs for growth and development and healthy and “Joven Sano”. 

-  Alliance is created with the "Savia Salud" entity for specialty care such as pediatric neurology and pediatric endocrinology, achieving support families of children in timely health care.

PEDAGOGY

• Social Networking with INDER and COMFAMA.
• Vocational training.
• "Learning to live with the other" Covenant of coexistence - Points System.
• "Learning to study " remedial education and support tasks.  

- Strengthening academic support with the participation of students from the school CEFA , doing social work . Accompanying children who have academic shortcomings especially in the processes of reading and writing. 

- Currently 100 % of children and adolescents are linked to the school system. Besides vocational training , remedial education and support tasks performed , allowing through these projects academic skills are strengthened. 

- Strengthening regulatory processes through interventions with families to improve relationships in the corporation and within families.
